While we were in Florida, the scuba instructor at the resort we were staying at had these really cool monofin mermaid tails that the kids could use to swim around in underwater in the pool.
Of course, how could we say no – every girl has always wanted to be a mermaid…
Not miss out on the mermaid action, Dawn got her own mermaid tail and so did Ike – although he insists his is a shark tail.
Either way, it made for some really cool underwater mermaid photos in the pool. Surprisingly, the kids had no problem learning how to swim with a monofin – although it is helpful that there was no deep end in the Florida resort pool, so the could always just stand up if they needed to catch their breath.
